MyCivility Account Deletion

MyCivility allows any user with an account to request, at any time, the deletion of their account and the personal data directly associated with it.

Deletion can be carried out directly from the MyCivility application or requested from this page if you no longer have access to the application.

Delete Your Account from the Application

If you still have access to the MyCivility application, you can delete your account directly from the app.

Go to your profile, then to the section where you can manage your data and select Delete my account.

Once confirmed, the account deletion process will be carried out.

Request Account Deletion Without the Application

If you no longer have access to the MyCivility application, you can request the deletion of your account by email.

Send your request to:

privacy@mycivility.fr

We recommend using the following subject line:

MyCivility Account Deletion Request

To help us identify the relevant account, please send your request from the email address associated with your MyCivility account.

If the request is sent from a different email address, additional information strictly necessary to verify that you are the account holder may be requested.

Never send your password or a MyCivility authentication code by email.

What Data Is Deleted?

Deleting your account will result in the deletion of data directly associated with the account that is no longer required, including:

  • the profile associated with the account;
  • information required to manage the account;
  • the authentication account;
  • data directly linked to the account that must be deleted in accordance with the way MyCivility operates.

Once the account has been deleted, you will no longer be able to use features that require this account.

What Happens to Reports You Have Already Submitted?

Reports submitted before your account is deleted may be retained in a form that is no longer associated with your user account.

When your account is deleted, the link that associates these reports with your account is removed.

These reports may therefore continue to contribute to MyCivility’s historical and geographical statistics without remaining associated with your account.

This retention helps preserve the consistency of statistics and trends observed over time.

Can Certain Data Be Retained?

Certain information may exceptionally be retained for as long as necessary where retention is required to:

  • comply with a legal obligation;
  • ensure the security of the service;
  • prevent or address abuse;
  • resolve a technical incident;
  • protect the rights of MyCivility or third parties.

Such data is retained only to the extent necessary for the relevant purpose.

Permanent Account Deletion

Deleting an account is permanent.

After deletion, you may need to create a new account to use MyCivility features that require authentication again.

Reports that have been disassociated from the deleted account cannot subsequently be linked to the new account.
